AI valuation

How the one-tap Valuate tool estimates your car's market price, what it needs to run, and how to use the estimate when selling or buying.

Wondering what your car is worth? Valuate gives you an AI market-price estimate for any car in your Garage with a single tap.

Running a valuation

  1. Open your car in the Garage — see Your car profile.
  2. Tap Valuate.
  3. Karaji's AI returns a market price estimate for your car.

That's it — one tap, no forms to fill in at the moment of valuation.

Mileage is required

Valuate needs the car's mileage to produce a meaningful estimate. If your car doesn't have mileage saved yet, the completeness sheet will point this out and Valuate won't run until you add it. Edit the car, enter the mileage, and valuate again — see Your car profile.

It's an estimate, not a rule

The Valuate result reflects the market — it is an estimate only, not a binding price:

  • When you list the car for sale, you can set any price you like, higher or lower than the estimate.
  • The estimate doesn't appear as a constraint anywhere in the selling flow.

Using the estimate when selling

A realistic asking price is the difference between a listing that sells and one that sits. Before you publish:

  • Fixed-price listing — use the estimate as your starting point, then adjust for your car's condition, history, and how quickly you want to sell. See Selling at a fixed price.
  • Auction — the estimate helps you pick a sensible starting price and, if you use one, a reserve price. See Selling at auction.

Using it when buying

Valuate also works as a sanity check on the other side of a deal. If you're eyeing a similar car on the Market, valuating your own comparable car in the Garage gives you a feel for what the model is really worth — useful context before you commit to a price or a bid. See Buying on Karaji.
